Does Going to the Dentist Give You Anxiety?
We realize that our dental chair isn’t number one on anyone’s dream destination list. In fact, some people get debilitating anxiety that keeps them far away from the dentist. It’s important to us that our patients feel at ease in our office.
It pains us to see patients neglecting their oral health by avoiding their check-ups. We urge you to note that missing your six-month cleanings can result in serious damage to your teeth, and more extensive dental treatments. Which is worse–a routine cleaning, or multiple dental fillings?
Sedation Dentistry is Available
Choose from the following two sedation options:
- Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): This colorless gas is non-irritating and has a slightly sweet scent. After your appointment, the effects of the gas wear off almost instantly, so you can drive home and resume your regular schedule after your appointment.
- IV Sedation: IV sedation will put you to sleep, so you will be completely unconscious for the duration of your appointment.
If you go the route of IV sedation, you will need to arrange transportation home from the office.
